ON4AEM: Bonjour, merci de me tenir au courant sur la situation actuelle de la cache. Normalement il s'agit d'une propriété partiel de la commune de Fromelennes (Réserve Naturelle de la pointe de Givet). Pas de soucis, je vérifierais bientôt la situation.

Hallo, beste dank om me op de hoogte te houden van de actuele toestand van de cache. Normaal betreft dit traject deels een eigendom van de gemeente Fromelennes.(natuurgebied punt van Givet).Geen probleem, ik bekijk binnenkort es de toestand.

Hallo, danke, dass Sie mich über den aktuellen Stand des Caches informiert haben. Normalerweise ist diese Route teilweise Eigentum der Gemeinde Fromelennes (Naturschutzgebiet von Givet). Kein Problem, ich werde bald die Situation nahsehen.

Geocache Description:

“The borderline walk”.

This borderline walk will let you discover a region known as “le pays des vallées”, land of the valleys in the Ardennes.

Part of the trail will guide you along the French-Belgium border and authentic ancient border marking stones are used as a guideline.
The start of the 3.5 km walk (WP1) brings you to the entrance of “les grottes de Nichet”, a cavern in the small village of Fromelennes (France 08), a playground for the kids and a pick nick area.
For the more sportive among us there’s even a well equipped “piste de santé” jogging and fitness trail starting here, as well as a mountain bike trail.

More touristic info hereabout, such as visiting times and hours, can be found at (visit link) or at the city’s local tourist info desks.

Park at WP1 in spring and summertime(opening period of the cavern, daily from April 1st till Sept 30th), park at WP0 in autumn and wintertime (closing period of the cavern) to start the cache hunt.

Good luck to all the cache hunters in finding the stash and hope you’ll all enjoy this walk as much as I do.

“The borderline walk”

Deze grenslijn wandeling zal jou het gebied dat gekend staat als « het land van de valleien » in de Ardennen laten ontdekken.

Tijdens een deel van deze wandeling langsheen de Frans-Belgische grens volgt men enkele oude grens markeerstenen uit vervlogen tijden.

De aanvang van deze 3.5 km lange wandeling (WP1) brengt u naar de ingang van « les grottes de Nichet », een grot in het kleine dorpje Fromelennes. (Frankrijk 08), een kinderspeelplein en een picknick plaats.
Voor de sportievelingen onder ons is er hier ook de startplaats van een “gezondheidsparcours”jogging en fitness pad, alsmede een mountainbike piste.

Meer toeristische info aangaande, zoals bezoektijden en openingsuren, kan men vinden op (visit link) of in de lokale toeristische informatiecentra.

Parkeer thv.WP1 in de lente- en zomerperiode (openingstijden van de grot, dagelijks vanaf 1 April tot 30 September), parkeer thv. WP0 in de herfst en winter (sluitingstijden van de grot) om de cache zoektocht aan te vangen.

Veel geluk aan alle cache jagers in het vinden van de cache en ik hoop dat jullie net als mij zullen genieten van deze wandeling.

Cette promenade dans «le pays des vallées» dans les Ardennes vous laisserez découvrir cette belle région.
Une partie de cette promenade le long de la frontière franco-belge suit quelques pierres marqueur authentique de la frontière.
Le début de cette promenade d’environ 3.5 km, (WP1) vous amène à l’entrée de la ”Grotte de Nichet” (France 08) situé dans le petit village de Fromelennes, une aire de jeux pour enfants et un site de pique-nique.
Pour les sportifs entre nous il y a une piste de santé, jogging et fitness, même une piste VTT.

Plus d’amples informations, comme les temps de visites de la Grotte, sont disponible via le lien (visit link) ou chez les points d’info touristiques locaux.

Garez au WP1 en période de printemps et été (périodes touristiques de la Grotte, dès 1 Avril jusqu’au 30 Septembre), garez au WP0 en temps de l’automne et hiver (hors saison touristique) pour démarrer votre chasse au trésor.

Beaucoup de succès pour trouver la cache et j’espère que vous aimeraient tous cette balade à pied comme moi je l’aime.
