The Polar
Bears gather once per year on Clifton 4th Beach on the Saturday
closest to the Winter Solstice - Mid Winter - to do what any self
respecting polar Bear would do - have a swim!
There has
never been rain in 13 years of the Icy Plunge - so the Polar Bear
Swim happens rain or shine and so will this event cache.
Bring
your swimming kit and something warm to put on afterwards - coffee
in flasks and a bit of sherry help too.
Are you
brave enough to swim? Or will you just cheer the others
on.
The Swim is at
9:30 so arrive before that to make the group dash
into the ocean.
The event will
end by 11:00 so you must attend before its over!
Each year their is a souvenir which you can order before hand to
receive at the event or on the day to receive later. I'll update
the listing when the souvenir is made known.
