Kalmanojanniemi

Oulun ja Haukiputaan välisissä metsissä mutkittelee, paikoin melko syvässä kanjonissa, synkeähkö Kalimenoja tai Kalmanoja, kuten Ghast sanoi. Heikinharjun kohdalla se muodostaa 300 metriä pitkän etelää kohti suuntautuvan niemen, jonka kärjestä kätkö löytyy.
Kätkönä toimii pakastepullo, ja pienen suuaukon vuoksi se sisältää erillisen putkilon lokikirjalle, koska ilman sitä lokikirja saattaisi vahingoittua kun sitä yrittää kiskoa pakastepullosta. Sisältä löytyy useita satuhahmoja, joten olkoon kätkön 'teemana' sadut. Tässä siis satu, runomuotoinen:
Maassa hylättyjen niittyjen
kulkee pieni sammakko, janoinen.
Eksyneenä ja lähestyessä illan,
hän saapuu luokse tumman virran.
Paras uskaltutua tästä juomaan -
menee kai kauan ennenkuin kotijärveäni huomaan.
Mut pysähtyy sammakko hämmästyen,
näkeehän luonnonhaltian ilmestyksen.
Nytpä kuulee eksynyt viisauden!
'Älä koskaan tästä juo,
ei elämää kuljeta joki tuo.
Sen sijaan kotireittisi tässä on:
kulje kohti laskua Auringon.
Älä myöskään pelkää huutoa kumeaa,
kutsun ystäväs laakso tää vahvistaa.
Riennä jo pikkusein, kohta näetkin sen,
kotikaisilikkosi verrattoman, turvallisen.'
River of Death

In the forests between Oulu and Haukipudas there is a small river called Kalimenoja. The river is very twisty and it has quite deep valleys. In Heikinharju it forms a 300m long cape and the cache is located on it's tip.
The cache is a freezing bottle. It has a narrow mouth and therefore it has a special tube for the logbook. The cache contains several story characters so the theme of the cache is fairy tales. So here is a fairy tale:
In the land of Abandoned Fields
a little thirsty frog is wandering.
Being lost as the evening comes
he sees a dark river streaming.
I better have the courage to drink,
homelake of mine might be so far away.
But instead, he becomes astonished,
a fairy suddenly appears for him to say:
Here is a wisdow for you, the lost one!
Don't ever drink from this stream
as it gives only death, no bliss.
Finding a way home is now your dream,
a right way is direction where the sunset is.
if you hear a scream so hollow, don't be afraid.
It's just your friend calling, the valley echo is thick.
Hurry up, you must follow then sun to find
your reed bed home, so safe, so big.
