Geocache Description:

Attempt this cache at your own risk!

Anyone attempting this cache assumes all risk and holds no other person or organization responsible for any outcome.
All liability is solely assumed by the person attempting this cache.
If you question your abilities or your equipment, DO NOT ATTEMPT!

Do Not Approach this cache from the 4H camp.
Approach and attempt only from the trails in John Bryant State Park.

Trails are quite steep in places, and rocky & uneven. The park offers overnight camping, however the trails are open only from dawn to dusk. If you even think there is a chance you will need to rappel or do any rock climbing, you must register at the park office before attempting either activity.

There are several caches in the park, at various levels of difficulty. Download a park trail map to make your experience easier.

This cache is located in John Bryan State Park. Any one who has ever visited this park is aware it is one of the few parks in the region that allows free climbing and mountaineering.

There are sheer rock-face cliffs here that are not very tall, or very demanding, comparatively speaking, but, from personal experience, they are quite unforgiving if you are not well prepared or inattentive.
A friend of mine introduced me to both styles of rock climbing on these very cliffs. He also showed me how unforgiving the cliffs can be when he suffered a fall while free-climbing.
This cache is a true 5.0. Be prepared with the right equipment and the right frame of mind. The cache is well hidden and is out of reach from any ground-level approach. Proper climbing gear will be needed.
This cache is in a very dangerous area. Not only can you fall and severely hurt yourself, someone else can fall ON you. Accept this challenge only if you are willing to be responsible for your own actions and accept the potential danger you may place yourself in. It should be a caveat on all caches, but in an area like this, it is important to emphasize it.

**Coordinates for this cache were taken by two different GPSr units. The posted coordinates are an average of those readings. Because of the "bounce" encountered, a decoy has been placed just in case your GPSr also bounces.**

Please make the effort to rehide the decoy and/or the actual cache as effectively, or better, than you found it. A previous version totally disappeared and had to be archived.

The readings were all taken with a 20 ft. accuracy, plus or minus. Even on a clear day with some tree cover, readings were bouncing due to the cliffs.

Attempt this cache at your own risk!
