Cache is located in Enivas purvs, a forrested bog area near Jaunpils
Abava ir Ventas pieteka un, lai gan Rigas juras licis atrodas tikai 50 km attaluma, upes udens ieplust Baltijas jura. Abavas izteka atrodas Enavas–Lestenes purvu apvidu un, ta ka šis apvidus ir loti meliorets, notekgravji savieno Abavas-Ventas upju sistemu ar Berzes-Lielupes sistemu, kas ietek Rigas juras lici. Savu geokešu mes novietojam loti tuvu vietai, kur udens no Enavas purviem sak tecet ziemelu virziena, veidojot vienu no Abavas iztekam. Tapat mes secinajam, ka mums, iespejams, bus jaatrod vismaz divi citi Abavas iztekas avoti – loti iespejams, ka musu nakošaja celojuma uz šo rajonu.
Rietumu virziena Abava talak plust caur krašnu ieleju, ko veidojis ledajs. Upe sava tecejuma ari plust caur dolomita slaniem, kas veido udenskritumus.
The Abava is a tributary of the river Venta, and even though the Gulf of Riga is just 50 km northeast, the water here flows towards the Baltic Sea. The sources of the river are in the Enavas - Lestene bog areas, but since the area is heavily meliorated, the drainage ditches connect the Abava - Venta system to the Berze - Lielupe river system, that falls into the Gulf of Riga. We put our cache close to the place, where water from the Enavas bog started to run northward, forming one of the starting points of the Abava. We also noted, that we probably will have to add at least two more springs - at our next trip to the area 
Westwards the Abava flows through a picturesque glacial valley and where the river meets hard devonian dolomite, it also forms small waterfalls.
On your way to the cache you will see a lot of animal footprint and many signs of beaver activity. If you would like to see a small beaver dam, follow the Abava from the trailhead waypoint about 50 m northward.
