Located above the Trilby Wash at an elevation of 3970' in an area with many old mines. Spectacular views of Central Arizona.
I love being up high with unimpeded views. Maybe it's because I grew up in south Georgia where it is so flat that a 5' pile of dirt is called a hill. Maybe it's because I've been a pilot all my adult life and I feel more at home when I have some altitude and the bird's eye view it accords. But I do like high places -- hills, mountains, wherever. Which is good since geocachers seem to always put caches in the highest places available.
There are several ways to approach the cache area. You will need a 4x4, ATV, horse or some dang good hiking boots. There is a turn around near the cache. The terrain rating is for the travel required to get to GZ.
This is a back country cache. Please take appropriate precautions -- lots of water, good boots, adequate first aid and survival gear. You aren't the top of the food chain out here. Lot's of biting things and other stuff will stick you. There are many open mine shafts in the area.
