Ces chutes de près de 6m de haut sur la Noue ont permis pendant des décennies d’entraîner une turbine hydraulique qui produisait 12cv et alimentait en électrité les deux maisons voisines.
Pour l’anecdote, un projet avorté était d’augmenter son débit par une conduite d’eau de 2m3/seconde prise sur le canal de St Martory. Si ce projet avait abouti, la centrale aurait produit une moyenne de 400 à 500cv.
Engagez vous dans l’ Impasse du Moulin et garez vous tout au fond. Le chemin est public jusqu’au pont-canal du canal de St Martory. Seul le moulin en contrebas à droite et les chutes d’eau sont une propriété privée, mais vous pouvez les admirer depuis le chemin, ou mieux, si vous n’avez pas le vertige, depuis la berge du canal de St Martory où vous devrez monter. Vous verrez au passage deux tuyaux d’hydrocarbures.

These falls of almost 6m high on the Noue allowed for decades to work a hydraulic turbine which produced 12CV and gave electricity to the two neighboring houses.
As a matter of interest, an aborted project was to increase its flow by a water main of 2m3/second taken from the Canal of St Martory. If this project had succeeded, the plant would have produced an average of 400 to 500cv.
Drive into the Impasse du Moulin and park at the very end. The road is public as far as the aqueduct of the canal of St Martory. Only the mill below on the right and the waterfalls are on private property, but you can see them from the road, or better, if you are not afraid of heights, from the bank of the canal of St Martory where you will have to climb. You will see two pipes for hydrocarbons.
If you are with children and you decide to climb up to the bank with them, hold their hand!
