La cascade se situe dans la vallée de Thann / St Amarin. A partir de Kruth, prendre la D13b1 en direction du col d'Oderen et de Ventron. Au bout de 1,5 km environ, la chapelle se trouve sur la gauche. Le haut de la cascade débute derrière la chapelle et un sentier permet de suivre sa descente vers la vallée.
La chapelle saint-Nicolas est située à près de 600 m d'altitude, dans le vallon sauvage de la Werschmatt.
La date de sa première construction n'est pas bien connue mais c'est sans doute l'un des sanctuaires les plus anciens de la vallée de Saint-Amarin.
Son histoire est associée à celle du vallon de la Werschmatt, qui constitue, depuis des siècles, un axe de passage très fréquenté vers le col d'Oderen et le versant lorrain du massif vosgien.
Attention sentier glissant en période automne/hiver.

The waterfall is located in the valley of Thann / St Amarin. From Kruth, take D13b1 towards cervical of Oderen and Ventron. After about 1.5 kilometers, the chapel located on the left. The top of the waterfall starts behind the chapel and a trail to track her down to the Valley.
The chapel Saint-Nicolas is located about 600 m altitude in the valley of the wild Werschmatt.
The date of its first construction is not well known but is without doubt one of the oldest shrines in the valley Saint-Amarin.
Its history is linked to that of the valley Werschmatt which is, for centuries an axis crossing busy to the cervical of Oderen and side of Lorraine Vosges Massif.
