LEDs are so commonplace nowadays that hardly anyone gives them a second glance. They light up our traffic signals, car tail lights and are even beginning to show up in home lighting.
I can remember when the first tri-colour LEDs hit the market. They combined a red LED and a green LED in the same package. If you turned on one LED or the other, you got either red or green light. But when you turned them both on simultaneously, something almost magical happened... you got yellow light!
While I'm on the subject, here's a little puzzle that makes use of tri-colour LEDs. Some are lit red, some green, some yellow, and some aren't turned on at all.
Decode the puzzles and use what you find to fill in the blanks in the coordinates shown below:
N 5 _° _ _ . _ _ _ W 11 _° _ _ . _ _ _
You're looking for a camouflaged 1 litre lock & lock container. There's a $10 Tim Horton's card for the FTF, and a finder's card for the first ten finders. The cache hide is somewhat winter-friendly; whether the trek to the cache is or not depends on the weather and how you're equipped! If the weather is even halfway clear, you will be rewarded with some mountain views near the end of your trek.
