Geocache Description:

Ugyen Choeling Manor in the Tang Valley, Bumtang.

** GPS reception may be limited so please read the detailed description on location. **

In the middle of 14th century Longchen Rabjampa built a retreat here. Then the revered Dorje Lingpa settled here and the place has been occupied by his descents ever since.
The central tower, a former residence is now a private museum (small admission fee) which is well worth a visit. It has several floors with themed rooms: kitchen, armoury, clothing etc – my favourite was the porcelain room.

Access: Follow the twisting unpaved road to its end, and then walk up through the trees and countryside on a crooked path to the manor house.

**Location: Facing the museum there is a significant temple to the right. Walk clockwise around the temple until you reach the North corner (rear of the building). In the second group of prayer wheels, north end beneath and behind two stones (slates)

Cache: Camo micro eclipse mint container.
