Ce circuit de 4 kms part du village de Senezergues, et passe
dans la forêt, traversant le ruisseau avant de retourner par le
Château de Senezergues.
This 4 km circular walk starts in the village of Senezergues,
going through the forest and crossing the stream before returning
via the Senezergues Castle.
Parking disponible au: N44°42.181', E002°24.789' (Place
de l’Eglise)
Du parking, remonter la route vers le village. Après environ
150m, prenez la route à gauche, direction Lacoste.
A WP1, prenez le chemin qui part à gauche, et descendez
jusqu’au ruisseau de la Sarrette. Traversez le ruisseau sur
un pontin en rondelles, montez le chemin à gauche, et à
l’intersection proche (WP2) marquée
‘Cassaniouze/Servant’, prenez à gauche (vers
Servant).
Continuez sur ce chemin jusqu’à la prochaine intersection
(WP3).
Ensuite, montez vers la droite et à la prochaine intersection
(WP4), prenez le chemin de gauche qui descend de nouveau vers le
ruisseau. Le chemin prend un fort virage à gauche (WP5) et devient
très pierreux et glissant (attention aux jeunes enfants).
En bas de la piste, le chemin tourne vers la droite et suit le
ruisseau de la Sarrette avant de le traverser de nouveau sur un
pont en bois.
Continuez le chemin en montant toujours jusqu’à
l’entrée du village du Mas où on peut bifurquer à droite
(WP6), juste avant un tilleul, pour suivre un chemin qui passe
devant une fontaine, et l’imposant Château de Senezergues
(privé). Après le château, on rejoint la route qui mène vers le
parking.
Les coordonnés du cache sont difficiles à prendre
avec exactitude à cause de la couverture des arbres. Lisez bien
l’indice, et vous ne pourrez pas vous
trompez !
Pour une ballade plus courte, il est possible de descendre au
cache en partant dans l'autre sens - le Chateau est visible de la
route du parking. Dans ce cas, le cache se trouve avant d'arriver
au ruisseau.

From the car park, walk back up the road towards the village.
After around 150m, take the road on the left, signposted
Lacoste.
At WP1, turn left down a path, and follow it down to the stream
‘La Sarrette’. Cross the stream on a small wooden
bridge, carry on the path which goes up to the left, and at the
next intersection (WP2) signposted
‘Cassaniouze/Servant’, take the left-hand path, towards
Servant.
Continue on this path until you reach another intersection
(WP3).
Then, take the steep path up to your right, and at the next
intersection (WP4), go left, on a path leading back down towards
the stream. After taking a sharp left turn(WP5), the path becomes
very rocky and slippery- be careful if you have young children.
At the bottom, follow the path to the right, following the
Sarrette stream, before crossing again at a small wooden
bridge.
Follow the path up until you reach a village called Le Mas. As
soon as you get to the first house, turn right just in front of a
lovely lime tree(WP6), going along a path that passes a fountain
before arriving before the impressive Senezergues Castle (private).
Follow the path around the castle, and then you reach the road
which leads back to the car park.
The exact coordinates are difficult to take due to
dense foliage. Please read the hint- you can’t go
wrong!
For a shorter walk, go from the car park straight to the castle
(visible from the road). In this case, you will get to the cache
just before arriving at the stream.
