The Curious Gorge Cache is located within the Wintergreen Gorge area. Access to the trails is located off Cooper Rd. Parking can be found at the bottom of the hill. (mark a waypoint - N42*07.534' W079*59.842' for a parking reference.) From I-90 - take the weslyville exit and procede north to cooper road. From Erie area - East 38th street turns into cooper road. when traveling east on 38th go straight through the light at shannon rd.
Update 10/9/2021: I can’t believe this single cache has lived on for TWENTY!! Years. Good luck to all and thanks to those who have helped maintain it. UPDATE: 11/24/2010....After reading some of the latest logs with no finds i decided this cache went missing so i've replaced this cache with a new one and filled it to the top with some good swag. Tree cover throws GPS accuracy off a bit but the coordinates will get you close. Due to construction of the new bridge and College expansion, the area has changed quite a bit. Enjoy!!!! UPDATE: 2/16/2006...THIS WAS MY FIRST AND LAST CACHE. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN THERE SINCE 10/2001!!!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR TAKING CARE OF IT AND REPLACING THE CAMERA. ORIGINAL POST; This is the first cache i have hidden so let me know what you think. The cache is a clear 3 gallon rubbermaid type container with a white lid. The original contents include an orange vest, bead necklace, magnetic key holder/hider, heart shaped slinky, a guy trapped in a box(be sure to let him out), a first aid kit, a bottle of water, scratch of lotto ticket, a blank cd-r, a music cd, a tap light, brass bowling pin, free bk burger coupons, lighter, 2 AA batterys, bingo marker, santa magnet, matches, a rose,an old cell phone, stans garden center tuit, a clear "sphere", a movie dollar and a disposable camera to take a picture with.
