Geocache Description:

*This cache is located on the trail and requires NO bushwacking*

The trail can be narrow at times. Please be careful.

An easy trail in Madera Canyon. We love this trail. It runs along the ridge with minimum elevation gain. You do most of the elevation in the beginning of the trail, and then get to enjoy the views for the rest. You can see both the mountains and the Tucson valley below. Beautiful!

This is a micro. Please bring your own pen.

Park at the Amphitheater parking lot and cross the beautiful bridge to the Nature trail. The total trail is 2.7 miles, but only 1.8 miles are trail and the rest is walking back down the road. The cache is near the end of the trail. This is the only trail classified as easy by the trail guide. You can pick up a trail guide at the entrance.

Please note that a parking pass is required for Coronado National Forest. A daily pass costs $5, but we're hoping you buy the annual pass at $20 and come back! The pass is good for Madera Canyon, Mount Lemmon and Sabino Canyon.

*** Update 2/21/10*** We placed this cache as blinky nano when we only had about 40 finds. We didn't know better. Shame on us. After getting in some more caching experience we've found that we loathe nanos. So, we've replaced this cache with a more acceptable container. We hope you enjoy the change! No more nanos!! A cute prize for the first person to find the new container!

Please replace where found, and take care closing the lid as it seems somewhat fragile.

Congrats to AZtravelers for FTF (on our very first hide)!!!
