PLEASE COVER THE CACHE WELL AS THE BEACON IS PARTIALLY VISIBLE FROM THE TRAIL

Congratulations to Bob on the recognition of his achieving 1,000 finds!

(Please include reminiscences of caching adventures with Bob, or mention your favorite Ispy hide in your log entry.)

Even though I had found several IspyFamily caches it was quite a while before I finally met Bob at an FTF run on “Happy Landing”. Bob is the CO of that cache and he arrived after several of us had searched for almost an hour and finally put us out of our misery. Bob has several other equally tricky hides. He just put out a fun series of caches in Edenbrook Conservation Area in Eden Prairie and he tells me that he has many more new caches in the works. As of late Bob has also become one of the most competitive FTF hounds in the SW Metro and if you haven’t noticed he’s on a mission to get to 2,000. We have cached together several times, since we met and I’m sure we will do so many times in the future. I’m in Bob’s debt for helping me recently with Gilby Acro’s. Bob is very fun to cache with, always easy going, but well organized. The best part is he’s a great finder, so I always get more caches when I go with Bob. (;-)

This cache is part of a series of silver ammo cans placed in the western part of Carver Park Reserve near Victoria, MN. These caches honor the achievement of eight cachers, who have all found 1,000+ caches and have been important members of the caching community for sometime. This cache has been registered and approved by the Three Rivers Park District. Please follow Carver Park Reserve rules and observe park hours (5am to 10pm).

Take Victoria Dr. (County Rd. 11) from Hwy 5 or Hwy 7 and turn west on Grimm Rd. Park at either the Horse Trail or Springfield Group Camp parking lot. [LINK TO MAP] This cache is easily accessible from the trail system and can be found on foot or by bicycle. The cache is also near the horse trail, which is used for cross country skiing in the winter. This cache should be findable in all seasons. A nice complement of swag has been placed with the original contents of the container. Kids and dogs are always welcome. Please re-hide the cache well, so it doesn’t get muggled.

Most important have fun and enjoy Carver Park Reserve!
