With a 3,200-foot grass landing strip, and bituminous taxiways,
the Winsted Airport offers a unique experience for both seasoned
and new pilots.
Winsted Airport hosts a variety of airplanes, including
single-engine and experimental aircraft. This airport offers pilots
from around the area a chance to fly into an airport loaded with
many of the amenities of a larger airport, without having to fight
with all of the traffic.
The runway is a grass surface, east-west (09-27); the landing
strip is 3,200 feet long and 400 feet wide. It will handle light
twin engine and smaller aircraft.
So I guess if you really wanted to you could fly into this one,
well it would be a bit of a walk from the airport terminal, but
still it would be fun.
Keep your eyes peeled for airplanes!!
