Fuzine ob Hublju so zacele delovati sredi 16. stoletja. Najprej so pridobivali in prodajali surovo zelezo, nato pa izdelovali tudi kakovostno kovano zelezo ter specialno jeklo. Cvetela je prava industrija, predvsem zaradi enostavnega odvzema vode iz Hublja, zelo bogate zelezove rude, sirnih gozdov Trnovske planote in Hrusice, kjer so kuhali oglje ter blizine velikih mest. Izdelovali so ploscato in okroglo palicno zelezo, dele za orozje, jeklo za granate in topovske krogle ter jeklo za razna orodja, dele za vozove, podkve, kmecko rocno orodje … in med drugim tudi vesla za gondole, ki so jih prodajali predvsem v Benetkah.
Ob koncu 16. stoletju je prislo fuzinarstvo v krizo in fuzine so delovale v zelo zmanjsanem obsegu. V 17. stoletju se je proizvodnja delno obnovila, v 18. stoletju pa je ze zmanjkalo osnovne surovine in proizvodnja se je postopno preusmerila na baker oziroma izdelke iz bakra.
Proizvodnja na Fuzinah se je dokoncno ustavila ob zacetku 1. svetovne vojne. Od tedaj dalje so stavbe pocasi propadale. Danes predstavljajo ostanki fuzin pomemben temelj tehnicne dediscine.

Ironworks at Hubelj river began operating in mid-16th century. Firstly, acquiring and selling raw iron, later manufacturing quality wrought iron and special steel. Industry was blossoming, mainly due to a simple abstraction of water from Hubelj river, very rich iron ore, broad forests of Trnovo Plateau and Hrušica, where they cook charcoal, and the proximity of large cities. They manufactured flat and round iron bars, parts for weapons, grenades and steel cannon balls, steel for various tools, parts, carts, horseshoes, farm hand tools ... including paddles for gondolas, which were sold mainly in Venice.
At the end of 16th century, ironworks has been in crisis and have acted in a very limited scale. In the 17th century, the production was partially restored. In the 18th century they already run out of basic materials and production has gradually shifted to copper and copper products.
Production at the Ironworks was finally stopped at the beginning of 1st World War. Thereafter, buildings were slowly collapsing. Today, the ironworks represent important technical heritage.
