Cache is NOT IN MOONFLOWER CANYON. Must be reached by going up Moab
Rim or thru Hidden Valley. Can MTB, jeep, or hike. Last 1/2 mile is
wilderness preserve - must hike. Bring rope if you want spectacular
view of the Colorado River. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS IF RAIN
THREATENS!!!! Coordinates were taken from map rather than GPS, but
once you are in the wash you don't even need the coordinates for
the final 1/4 mile.
Cache is located about 12 feet up in hole in rock face. Cache has a
rock on top of it to anchor it. Please replace as found. Please
post a picture or two of your party and let us know where you're
from. Walk on down the wash until you are stopped by a deep hole.
Use rope to lower onto edge of pond (is dry 30% of the years we
have visited). Cross through dense brush to far side of pond and
hold your breath! Take something / leave something. We revisit the
cache every year from Michigan.
