WELCOME TO THE LOUISIANA PARISH CHALLENGE
INTRODUCTION
Unlike almost every other state in the union, we do not have counties in Louisiana. Instead, we call these governmental sub-divisions "parishes" and there are 64 of them in the state. The cache title is so worded as to make things search-friendly for those not familiar with this naming distinction. So it should help folks to identify this challenge as Louisiana's version of the nationwide all county challenge series.
CHALLENGE OVERVIEW
Warning! This challenge is not for everyone. You may need to be enthusiastic, adventuresome, well-traveled and somewhat crazy, all at the same time. It will require lots of your time and money. You will also have to deal with the frustration of very few caches hidden in some parishes. However, the upside will be what you make of it, and the personal satisfaction you receive for rising to a challenge.
This challenge requires the completion of two steps.
1. You must find one cache in each of Louisiana's 64 parishes . As of April 2014, there are approximately 6400 active caches in Louisiana.
2. You must follow generally accepted rules, guidelines and regulations for finding and logging a cache. You can sign log when you find it, but to log find after checker ok's it. 3. You must find one cache of your own choosing in each of Louisiana's 64 parishes. 3. You may find any cache type except for Locationless caches.
4. The published coordinates of all cache types are used to determine parish location.
