Geocache Description:

This quick and easy cache is located near Auchentoshan Distillery - the whisky distillery closest to Glasgow.

The cache container is just big enough to hold travelbugs and geocoins. To avoid cluttering please DO NOT LEAVE ANY SWAPING ITEMS OR NAME CARDS.
The cache is not located on the distillery premises itself. So there is 24/7 access to it.

Edge of the Field
Auchentoshan Distillery is a Single Malt whisky distillery in the west of Scotland. It was founded in 1823 by John Bulloch, a local corn merchant. The word "Auchentoshan" means "edge of the field". It is one of only three remaining distilleries in the Scottish Lowlands. Auchentoshan distillery is situated on the outskirts of Clydebank in Dumbartonshire close to the city of Glasgow. Unusually for a Scottish distillery, Auchentoshan practices triple distillation. Maturation is in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry butts.
So after a wee dram you can set off to cache hunting! Isn't that what Scotland is about after all? ;-)

How to get to the cache by public transport
The cache location can be reached easily by First Glasgow bus no. 6 from Glasgow city centre. Just hop on the bus in direction of Mountblow and get off at the final stop. From there your GPS will guide you to the cache in less than 5 minutes :-).

Where to park
If you just like a cash and dash there is some street parking available around N 55º55.413' / W 004º26.098'.
If you decide to come by car and actually visit the distillery it is best to park there and go cache hunting from there.

Please be careful: There is a very busy road nearby. But coming from the distillery, the bus stop or the street parking there is no need to cross that road in order to find the cache!
