Der Findling vom - Schlagheck
Dieser Stein aus Quarzporphyr ist etwa 1,40mtr. x 2,00mtr. x 3,30mtr
Und wiegt ca. ------ Tonnen.
Er kam vor ca. 200 000 Jahren mit der Saale-Eiszeit aus Südschweden
Und stammt lt. Gesteinsproben aus dem 1100 Km entfernten Dorf Furuby
Bei der Stadt Växjö. Vermutlich war er bei Beginn der jahrtausendlangen
Wanderung 20 mal größer.
Der Eigentümer, Landwirt Bernard Altmiks, hat ihn 1986 beim pflügen
gefunden und aus seinem Acker ausgraben lassen.
Nie zuvor ist bisher ein Koloss dieser Größe am Rand der Eisgrenze
Gefunden worden. Gewöhnlich lagerten die Gletscher ihre Fracht weit früher ab.
Er ist der Größte von drei Findlingen, die soweit südlich im Paderborner
Land je gefunden wurden.
