Non loin de la route. Trés facile a trouve pour les géocachers handicapé.

Not far from the road, an easy cache for disabled geocachers.

Le Loroux vient du latin "loratirio" (l'oratoire).

Notre-Dame du Loroux fut fondée en 1121 par Eremburge du Maine et son époux Foulques V d'Anjou. L'Abbaye rayonna par son importance pendant sept siècles.Fortifiée au XIVème, son donjon imposant s'écroula sur l'Abbatiale en 1820. Le compte de Maillé transforma le site en propriété d'agrément avec la construction d'un château néo-renaissance. Il conserva quelques vestiges dans le parc comme il était de mode au XIXème siècle.

Le Loroux comes from the Latin - "loratirio" (The Oratory)

Notre-Dame of Loroux was founded in 1121 by Eremburge of Maine and her husband Foulques V of Anjou. The Abbey grew in importance over the following seven centuries. Fortified in the 14th century, its imposing keeps collapsed on the Abbey in 1820. The Count of Maillé transformed the site into a very agreeable property with the construction of a castle in the néo-renaissance style. He preserved some vestiges of the abbaye within the park after the fashion of the 19th century.

This is a nano cache. It's my first cache. It's fairly local to where I live. All you'll need is good eyesight, a pencil and perhaps some pliers to extricate the log!
