There are people who hand out candy at Halloween, and there are
people who hang a few decorations for Halloween, but then there are
the EXTREME Halloween people...
For the past sixteen years, a fellow cacher, Speedowl, has
turned his house into a masterpiece for Halloween. Check out
Speedowl's Website for photos of past year decorations.

This year theme is a "Haunted House" and you can see some of
their work in progress on the website. The rooms and hallways
inside will have characters and scenes from the scariest movies of
all time. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, Carrie,
Nightmare on Elm Street, Silence of the Lambs, Exorcist, The
Shining, etc. Fellow Cacher Dr. Finkelstein will be in full costume
as Hannibal Lecter.
So stop by, yell out "Trick or Treat", go through their
Masterpiece, grab a piece of candy, and get a smiley.
Definitely bring your little cachers during trick-or-treat hours
for them to enjoy this great event. The best hours to stop by are
between 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm. Due to the high volume of
trick-or-treaters in this neighborhood, police have the streets
blocked off so you have to park a little bit aways (Plano Senior
High is a good spot) and walk the last couple blocks.
Speedowl will be extremely busy making sure that the "Haunted
House" house is running smoothly, but kd&prettierhalf will be
there most of the time to welcome any geocachers who stop by during
this time.
You are welcome to come inside and enjoy some snacks in the
kitchen, soft drinks and adult beverages in the Backyard, but most
of the activity is in the front yard. There are also other houses
in the neighborhood that have incredible decorations (but none
quite as good as Speedowl's!!!!!)
Last year's event was a hugh success from reading the logs.
GC1H3A3 I hope you can make it this year.
