This cache meets State Forest guidelines.
The Mourning Cloak is brown with yellow outer edges and an inner
border made up of blue spots. Because the brown is the same color
as tree bark, the insect is able to hide whenever it clings to
trees. The Mourning Cloak feeds on willows, elms and cottonwood and
its ragged wings have a span between 3 and 3-1/2 inches.
