Geocache Description:

This is my first hide in celebration of my 100th find this weekend. Sorry if the name is deceiving--it is a typical hide.

The terrain is not bad. There is no bushwacking needed. I gave it a 2.5 because you have to get down and walk along the creek bed. This will be difficult or impossible in winter or when the creek is higher.

There are many ways down to the creek, but if you travel downstream, there are some easier paths.

My gps showed accuracy within 13 feet. There are two roadside caches in the area. This cache is .1 miles from each.

For those with allergy concerns: This is not a peanut butter jar but a recycled Miracle Whip container (with camo).**UPDATE: THE CONTAINER HAS BEEN CHANGED TO SOMETHING THAT WILL BETTER HANDLE WEATHER BUT IS IN THE SAME PLACE**

The gates to this area will close at 9 pm.

The cache started with these contents:

  • unregistered Travel Bug Dog Tag
  • knitted dish cloth
  • markers
  • pink ribbon bead pin
  • key chain from South Carolina
  • whistle
  • kiddie bling
  • log book & pen
