Ceertenes pilskalns ir vissenaakais Smiltenes veestures pagaatnes liecinieks, atrodas pilseetas D dalja, kalnainaa priežu silaa. Pilskalna dabiskaa krauja bijusi tikai dienvidu nogaaze pie Ceertenes upiites. Kalna augstums no upiites puses sasniedz gandriiz 25m augstumu. Lai pilskalnu nocietinaatu, tam visapkaart izrakts liidz 12m dziljš graavis, ko uzskata par vienu no grandiozaakajaam buuveem Latvijas pilskalnos. 100m augšup pa Ceertenes upiiti redzams ka senaak bijis ieriikots dambis, kura uzstaadinaatie uudenji novadiiti uz graavi ap pilskalnu. Pirmais Ceertenes pilskalnu 1794.gadaa aprakstiijis taa laika kartograafs L. Mellins. Latviešu sveetvietu un seno zinaašanu peetnieks Ivars Viks uzskatija ka Ceertenes pilskalns ir viens no muusu senajiem dubultsveetkalniem. Viks bija paarliecinaats, ka Ceertene senatnee bijusi ieveerojams un noziimiigs centrs plašai apkaartnei, kur vienlaikus vareejis uznjemt daudzus tuukstošus cilveeku.
Tagad pilskalns ir jauka atpuutas vieta, kur iekaartotas dabas takas, izvietotas kartes ar taku sheemaam un noraadeem, kaa arii izveidota labiekaartota piknika vieta. Takas izmantojamas kaa pastaigaam, taa arii braukšanai ar velosipeedu, bet ziemaa - sleepeem. Ceertenes pilskalns ir aizsargaajams kultuurveesturisks dabas objekts, kas sevii glabaa senus un interesantus nostaastus.

Iegaumeejiet objektu atrašanaas vietas, pilskalna teritorija nav liela, bet tacinju un celinju labirintos apmaldiities arii nav gruuti.
Ir pieejamas arii koordinaatas no šiem sešiem objektiem. Var nodereet, ja nu tomeer neizdodas atrast tos peec noraadeem un kartes.

Certene castle mound is the oldest evidence of human settlements in the territory of current-day Smiltene, date back to the 1st - 4th centuries.
Only the sothern slope of the mound, near Certene river, is natural. Relative high of the hill is about 25m. For castle fortification there is 12m deep ditch around the hill, which is considered to be one of the greatest buildings in Latvian castles. In past 100m up the Certene river there was a dam, which was build for submerging the ditch to make castle unreachable for enemies.
Now the castle mound and territory aroud it is a nice resting place, there are nature trails, with trail maps and signs, and a landscaped picnic area.
You wont find a cache at the given coords. There is only a parking place and a map of a Certene castle mound nature park . From this place you will start your little walk trough the nature park. The task that you have to do is not very complicated, but may take some time.

2. To find a missing numbers, you have to find 6 different places and nature objects. At the each one of those places you will find one of the missing numbers for the coords.

3. To find those places you have to take a look on the map, which is located near parking place. You have to memorize, where exactly those objects are located. The territory of nature park is not very big, but there is posibility to lose right way in the labyrints of paths.
Also, there are coordinates given for those places. If you have problems with finding someone they may be useful.
4. The cache itself is regular 0,9l Lock&Lock box. Originaly contents are logbook, pencil, pencil sharpener, a souvenir for first finder and different small things for exchange.
Please keep in mind that Ceertene castle mound and its territory is protected nature and historical monument. It is not allowed to go there by car, motorcycle and similar vehicles.
