St Thomas's Church was built during the early 1880's for French
speaking Catholics in Jersey. Proud of their Church, the largest in
the Channel Islands, they called it La Cathedrale.
The church under went a major restoration project in 2006/2007
and contains many new sculptures and new stained glass. The grand
organ and bell tower were also fully restored
The Church is open daily for visitors and in the grounds is a
Welcome Centre, art gallery and repository, pastoral library and
bookshop.
Placed with kind permission from the Dean of the Catholic
Church
Whilst the cache is on level terrain a wheelchair user will need
help in retrieving the cache but wheelchair access is available
into the church
If anyone would like to add new Caches to this series please
do, I would just ask that you let Sadexploration know first so that
he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid
duplication
