Geocache Description:

Nice stroll out to this one, enjoy the final walk along the dirt path. Just over the edge you should strike paydirt.

Crosby park is named after Thomas Crosby, an English immigrant who staked out 160 acres in the valley southwest of the present-day junction of Shepard Road and Interstate 35E in 1858. Before Crosby's death in 1886, the farm became one of the largest and longest running in the West End and Highland Park area. A succession of families farmed it between 1902 and 1962. The Saint Paul Port Authority purchased the land in the early 1960s and leased it to the City for park use. Today, Crosby's potential as a nature area accessible to the public may be realized.

Cache is west of this location

and not to far from the river itself.

If you come at this from below, you will find some steps leading up the side of the hill. It does not look like they have been used in a long time so becareful going up.

If you come at this from above, you will be greated by a great view overlooking the river.

From either direction, you will hopefully land at ground zero and not in the river. After you make the find, turn around and have a seat to enjoy the view. I did after I finished with the hide.
