Located where the Lovejoy Bridge spans the Ellis River off Route 5 in Andover, Maine.
The "Covered Bridge" is one of Andover's finest landmarks. The first covered bridge in Andover, the Lovejoy was constructed in 1867 at the cost of $743.45. This bridge is the shortest covered bridge in the State of Maine. This is a great spot on the Ellis River. It may be crowded and busy during a hot summer day with muggles enjoying the cool refreshing water and beaches. A popular swimming hole for locals as well as access for kayaks and canoes.
