Geocache Description:

Local maritime map in the yoghurt bottle, on the highlands of the Island of Hvar

---

Croatia, Dalmatia, Island of Hvar, east end, on the road from Sucuraj (connected by ferry to Drvenik on the coastline) towards Bogomolje (further to Jelsa, Starigrad and town of Hvar).

Park the car by restaurant "Konoba Bolat" (waypoint 1, photo 1) cca 7 km east of Bogomolje village.

Walk less than 200 m towards Bogomolje where the road turns to the left (waypoint 2) and take an unpaved road to the right (direction north-west).

Walk cca 500 m where the unpaved road turns left (waypoint 3), find a pine behind on your left, fig on the right and olives in front to the right.

One trail (used by shephards and sheep) comes from the right, another extends in front (direction north-west, photo 2) between two dry walls ("suhozid", fences made of stacked stones picked up from the former fields, photo 3).
Have a shoes or sneakers and long trousers, take care of rocks and watch your feet. Have a stick, just in case you see a snake.

Walk up to 400 m where the trail starts descending (waypoint 4).

From the trail you had a view behind to the sea, south from the Island of Hvar, to Peljesac penninsula and the Island of Korcula.
At this point you have a view in front down to the sea, north from the Island of Hvar, to Biokovo mountain on the coast and the Island of Brac (photo 4).
Trail enters the wood here, there will be no views anymore except the scattered traces left by wild boars :-)

Stop and find a tree on your right (photo 5), the cache (water-proof map of South Dalmatia packed into a white yoghurt pet bottle, photo 6), as covered by stones (photo 7).

Please update my cache coordinates (collected by a mobile phone) if not very precise.
