[LAT] Kaltenes putnu taka ir aptuveni 1 km gara, nemarkjeta un vijas galvenokaart caur juuras piekrastes niedreem (slapjaa laikaa ieshana var nebuut paaraak patiikama). [ENG] Kaltene birds' trail is an approximately 1 km long unmarked trail along the seashore and through the reeds (might be a bit unpleasant in wet weather). Along the way you can stop and look at the birdlife at the viewing shelters. Approach quietly for best results. Several information boards have been set up along the way to help you recognise the birds. Unfortunately, they are in Latvian only, and recently a couple of them have been vandalized, including the trail map at the parking place. Best time for bird-watching is spring and end of summer. Bring along binoculars and/or an SLR camera with a superzoom lens.

[ENG] The "cache-box" is unconventional and integrated into the surroundings. Contains logbook, pencil, sharpener, pen and a handful of trading items. Do not try to place larger objects into the cache than possible and replace it at the same place and in the same way as you found it. Around 1 hour should be sufficient for finding the cache and returning to the parking-place if you do not get too carried away by bird-watching.
