A tiny isolated beach.
***Since Hurricane Irma.....the cache has yet to be confirmed. This is an AMAZING location and I simply can't let it disappear from the listings. If another group cannot find it....it's possible Irma washed it away. Would someone be willing to reapply a cache? Or adopt the site if they are on the island? I will not be back to the island for a long time. :-( As I said...the location is incredible so I'd love to keep it alive!!!***
***July 2/2017 --- I have moved from the island under very short notice. This cache is now officially up for adoption. The container may last long enough until the next time I visit. But if the container is falling apart please let us know here and maybe someone can replace it. It is a most wonderful cache and I'd hate to have it fall into disrepair. Thank you***
Start by reaching the roundabout just north of Marigot (there is the golden Lady Liberty statue in the middle of it). Take the North exit (Rue de Galisbay Port). If you go up a huge hill...wrong way...it's the next one! Head up that road until you hit another roundabout...this has a large building that says 'Port de Galisbay'. Take the road that heads just past the right of it. Keep heading up that until you hit a 3-way split. Well...the path straight ahead and right are roads. But look to the left and see the overgrown dirt track? (see picture 'THEE road') THAT is what you are looking for. Walk down that road. If you have a green fence and industrial buildings to your left, you're going the right way. You will have to leave the trail at some point to reach the Plage des amoureux (literally, the lover's beach). You will notice the trail is quite easy (only 15min of walking). But the 4.5 rating in terrain is for the next obstacle. Seems I have to warn people again...the access to the beach is VERY steep. The lava rock will over excellent traction...but be careful!
