I 1943 blev et engelsk fly skudt ned over Løjt Land. En
mindesten over flyets besætning blev rejst af de lokale
beboere i 1949. Besætningen er begravet på Aabenraa
kirkegård.

Memorial
In 1943 a British aircraft were shot down over Løjt Land. A
memorial to the aircraft's crew was raised by local
residents in 1949. The crew are buried in Aabenraa
cemetery.
