Geocache Description:

The cache is something I cooked up while in pursuit of a couple 5/5's. It seemed like I could go a bit more extreme, and so I did. This is a cache at your own risk type of cache, unless you are clever enough to retrieve it and replace it without getting too crazy... If anyone wants some help let me know, and I'll go with you to "supervise."

Cache contents are nothing special, it's more about the cache itself. It's situated on an old railroad bridge piling about 50-60 feet off of the ground in the middle of a creek. I highly suggest you scout this one out before getting your hopes up. I have identified at least three ways to get it off its perch, and can personally vouch for one way to get it back up there. Take a friend or two. Someone will get wet, and someone will get very tired of thorns. For a good view of the cache, walk downstream to the bridge, and take a good pair of binoculars. You'll see a silver ammo can awaiting it's rescue. It's painted silver to commemorate the 500th find of my team, The Allegheny Rangers. This is a cache at YOUR OWN RISK cache!! Keep in mind that this is a potentially dangerous cache, and that you need to exercise caution in going after it. Please be careful, and know that in outdoor activities, anything can and will occur. Neither Groundspeak or I will accept responsiblity under any circumstance, should you get hurt or killed. There is a chance that you will encounter falling debris. Wear a helmet and goggles, and any other safety equipment you may deem necessary. Don't do anything you don't honestly feel you're qualified to do. Remember- THERE ARE MULTIPLE WAYS TO DO THIS CACHE!! Oh, and one last thing... If you plan to go after this cache, let me know when, as I'm dying to see what people can come up with. If you let us come watch, we promise to cheer you on. Happy Hunting! Owners Note: Yes, there are, indeed multiple FTF's available on this cache. The first is for climbing, while the second is for any other method of retrieval from the ground. Others may include Non-traditional methods such as, but not limited to; aircraft, catapaults and trebuchets, NASA surplus gear, or wizardry. (NO FIREARMS OR BLASTING EQUIPMENT, seriously...) To encourage innovation and use of imagination, I'll likely award FTF's to anything I haven't seen before. Congrats to 1RoknJp&Zoose, Fatwalker, Brooke The Blonde & Buttons4 for their Innovative (and overall) First to Find. You guys rule! Congrats to Redtail Forester and Mountainfolk406 for the Traditional Climb FTF! Congrats to gstiglitz and Kaboss for their rope ladder FTF! Congrats to Bizh on his FTF from the ground! Thanks to my friends at www.extreme-caching.com for adding this cache to their great site!
