Cache Cow Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

The Happy Hodag!: Looks like this year's storms have claimed another one. This cache actually survived the storms, but not the clear cutting that took place after. It doesn't look like I can do anything on this one in the near future, so I might as well archive it. It sure was fun watching other cachers come around to seek this one, as well as meet them over the years, but that can still happen at events. I hope we all can still enjoy caching north of 64 for many years to come.

Geocache Description:

Cache is in a camoed cheese spread container containing a log book, but no writing stick. I also placed a toy baseball, so commence the trading.

This is very near where I spent my summers growing up between Lakewood and Townsend. I decided to place a cache in this area after a friend thought it would be neat to have a cache somewhere near where his parents were living at the time. Well, I placed that cache. I named it Cache Cow because of the fact that this cache is very near to Babe the Blue Ox, which I'm told was originally a cow. This is a roadside cache located between Lakewood and Townsend not too far off of Highway 32. A little bit of stealth may be required at times, especially on busy weekends, because the road is well traveled at times. The posted coords will get you within about 15 feet of the cache, and it's all uphill from there.

Congrats to loonaticks on the FTF! I also can't let myself get away without at least mentioning DS#1&CM#1, who were already on site.

Now a note from one of the campers: "I have to admit, it's fun/entertaining at times to be sitting on my campsite building a fire, having a drink, or just playing on my computer and then see a group pop up the hill all of a sudden. There were several occasions where I have come down to check on the cache after a heavy downpour to see that the logbook and other contents are all high and dry! I stopped by again today and realized the cache wasn't marked on the outside, nothing a Sharpie won't fix. Chris aka The Happy Hodag!"
