Geocache Description:

Krn means horn, but the italian name misinterprets the word as Crn (black; "nero").
This is one of the most easily recognizable mountain profile from the west side, and a very popular destination for tracking into the Triglav National Park. You can start to walk from the little village of Krn (about 1000m from the sea level: park at N46 14.542 E13 39.806) or from Dresnica (longer way: park at N46 15.332 E13 37.048 at about 600m from the sea level).
From both locations you will find a red-white marked footpath that lead you to the large "table" ("lavador" in friulan, that is a local name of this piece of the mountain), 500m height difference under the top. Continue following the path until the top; the view (if it is clear weather!) is surely rewarding!
One more possibility is to start from North at N46 18.221 E13 40.905 near Dom Dr. Klementa Juga. This way is longer but you can pick up one more cache on the way (GCG7VV - Krn Jezero 1452m 2nd Alpine cache by Jever)
The cache is located very near to the top, just few meter below it to avoid the mugglers!
Not far from the top you can find also a lodge with beverages and food (only during the summer; but do not go to search for the cache during the winter, when to climb this mountain requires experience and the cache box is under the snow! )
Initial cache contents: stash note, logbook, snake TB, ladybird, whistle, FTF certificate
