Die Caponniere 4 ist ein Teil der Bundesfestung Ulm. Sie wurde anlässlich der Landesgartenschau 2008 freigelegt.
Lange Zeit lag sie zu 2/3 unter einer Produktionshalle verschüttet.
Ganz in der Nähe wurde am 18. Oktober 1844 der Grundstein für die Hauptumwallung am rechten Donauufer gelegt.
Dies war die Geburtsstunde der Stadt Neu-Ulm

The Caponniere 4 is a part of the „Bundesfestung Ulm“. 2/3 of the Caponniere was blocked under a production hall for a long time.
It was laid open in 2008.
The foundation stone of the right side of the “Bundesfestung” was laid on the 18th october 1844 a few steps from here.
The city of Neu-Ulm was born.
