Xerokambos is a small village in the southwest of Criti. Sometimes it might be very windy, but it has on of the most beautiful sandy beaches.
It is time to hide a cache here and discover a great area.
Start in Xerokambos at:
N 35° 02,453
E 026° 13,917
How many cypresses can you see at that place = A? (4 is wrong!)
Follow the main road an stop at LIVIKO VIEW Taverna/Restaurant. There is a small island in front of you. It looks like a head of an animal which comes out of the sea.
What can it be:
Seagull = B = 8
Shark = C = 6
Tiger = D = 4
Dog = E = 2
Park your car at N 35° 01,693 and E 026° 12,518. The last 1,5km is a dirty road, but if you drive slow, no problem at all.
Find the cache:
If Seagull: N 35° 01,((A*B*30)+22); E 26° 12,((A*B*30)-24)
If Shark: N 35° 01,((A*C*40)+22); E 26° 12,((A*C*40)-24)
If Tiger: N 35° 01,((A*D*50)+22); E 26° 12,((A*D*50)-24)
If Dog: N 35° 01,((A*E*100)+22); E 26° 12,((A*E*100)-24)
Take time to walk in about 45 minutes to Agia Irini above the cost. It is a nice hiking tour to the west with beautiful seaview to island Koufinisi and lots of nice caves. Same way back.
If you return take a swim in the beautiful Ambelos beach and let the day end in the LIVIKO VIEW Taverna with excellent traditionell greek food from Katharina and Jannis – KALI OREXI!
