Geocache Description:

Take in the history of this cemetery. It was placed in honor of those who were part of the Beecher Bible Church during Bleeding Kansas. A few miles down the road you can visit the actual still-active church, and tours are available. The cache is a camo pill bottle.

One day after caching in Osage County, we checked to see what was in Wabaunsee County and found out that the county needs more caches. We decided a good place to start would be cemeteries. So this one of 21 caches placed in 21 different cemeteries throughout the county. Most are well-tended, others are not so much, but every one of them will hopefully be an adventure. It sure was for us discovering all of them. You will go down all kinds of roads, some of them nothing more than glorified trails, but you will see the amazing beauty of the Flint Hills. Wabaunsee is a beautiful county and we appreciate its rural charm now even more than before. In finding these treasures, you will run across other treasures--old one room school houses, historic landmarks, old churches, and friendly people. If you find a good spot for a cache place one and together we can make Wabaunsee a cache-rich county, too!
