My Beloved Geocache,
How do I love thee?
You are secretive and elusive to me, At times closer than my own breath,
Other times you are far beyond my grasp.
You tease me.
You are toying with my emotions.
At times you reveal yourself to me quickly. Other times I must search hungrily.
I believe we have a meaningful relationship one moment, the next you are nothing to me but a number.
Interaction with you can end with a smile, other times, just a frown.
You have sent me up a river. I have experienced highs and lows.
Some of the time we spend together makes me feel dirty. I kind of like that.
There are times we just walk in the park together, other times we get lost alone in the woods.
You are a selfish lover. You call to me late at night and in the wee hours of the morning. You steal me away from my work and family. You mess with my priorities.
Yu are close, yet out of reach.
I have tried to put some distance in our relationship, measured in /10 of a mile increments, but you call to me and draw me in.
I try to go a day without you, it is not easy. Like a drug you call my screen name and tease me to come out and play.
O Geocache, I pine for you.
