I really like crows too. The coins are great.
When you go out there I suggest getting gas and starting at
Imapaw in Wesley out on Rt. 9. This way, as the fuel gage starts
getting low you will be coming into the Old Town area with 24 hour
gas and supplies. Also if you see gas pumps with the lights on and
the station is closed, most likely the pumps will work with a
credit card.
Also there is no cell phone coverage for a lot of the trip.
If you fill up just before starting and start in Costigan at “A
run for Karen” you will have plenty of gas to get back. Doing the
series this way will bring you to several great spots to stop and
have lunch. I suggest Clifford lake scenic view, Burnt lake, or
several of the camping areas along the way.
The Airline Snack Bar has gas near on Rt.9. 2 miles west of
Whyvon at N44 49.685 W68 05.526. They close at 6pm.
Now, when you decide to do the series read a few of the logs and
see how much fun people are having doing these with friends and
family and gather a bunch up and take a camera and go make some
memories.
