While watching a documentary on singer/song writer, Tom Petty, and his band, the Heartbreakers, I heard one of the band members say, "don't bore us, get to the chorus." The line "cracked me up" and became the name for our first ever cache and the first of this series.
The lyrics to this song were recorded by Otis Redding on December 7, 1967, only 3 days before his untimely death in a plane crash just outside Madison, Wisconsin,. Redding's hit was his first #1 single.
"Sittin' in the morning' sun,
I'll be sittin' when the evenin' come,
watching the ships roll in,
and then I watch 'em roll away again, yeah."
This is on private property, with the owners permission. Please be respectful of it. It can get busy here, especially in the summer, so stealth is required.
