Tokaido Shinkansen is the first Shinkansen in Japan which was started constructing on April 20th 1959, and opened on October 1st 1964 according to Summer Olympic games in Tokyo.
This line was constructed with new features and technology of JNR at that time.
(JNR is Japanese National Railways at that time, now JR-Central)
So, This line has some features that existing lines do not have.
In this cache, you can see some features.
·All railroad crossing was excluded and it overpasses all roads.
(You can see Shinkansen right above.)
·It was made in the straight as possible.
(It is in the straight line around here and you can see Mt. Fuji at fine day. )
·Standard-gauge was adopted.
(The narrow-gauge was popular in Japan at that time, You can compare it with existing railways here.)
The cache is hidden in a small park nearby Shinkansen line.
The container is small 260ml Tupperware.
It might be difficult for you to look for it because it is a very small park when there are any muggles, especially children.
東海道新幹線は、1959年 4月20日に着工され、東京オリンピックの開催に合わせて1964年10月 1日に開業した、日本で最初の新幹線です。
当時の国鉄の技術の粋を集めて建設され、在来線には無いいくつかの特徴を有しています。
このキャッシュの近くでは、その特徴の内のいくつかを見ることができます。
・踏み切りを無くし、道路や他の路線とは全て立体交差としました。
(真上から新幹線をみることができます。)
・できるだけ直線的に作られました。
(このあたりの線路は直線的に作られています。晴れた日には直線の向こうに富士山を見ることができます。)
・ゲージは、当時の国鉄で標準であった狭軌ではなく、標準軌で建設されました。
(ゲージとは、線路の幅のことです。横須賀線が併走しているので比較することができます。)
キャッシュは新幹線の脇の小さな公園に隠されています。
コンテナは260mlの小さなタッパーウエアです。
とても小さな公園なので、マグルがいる時(特に子供たち)は探索は難しいかもしれません。
