Geocache Description:

The TALLMAN sign, one at each entrance to Lakeview, symbolizes Lakeview's claim as being the "Tallest Town in Oregon". Lakeview, at 4820 feet elevation, is the highest established town in Oregon.

This Tallman, at 17 feet, 6 inches, was placed in the mid-90's at each entrance to the town of Lakeview, replacing the 35 foot Tallmen placed in 1956. The original Tallmen can be seen at the Lake County Fairgrounds off Hwy 140.
