Régniè : la découverte des vestiges d'une villa gallo-romaine ayant appartenu à un noble romain Réginus, semble indiquer la provenance du nom Rignyé qui devint ensuite Régniè / the discovery of the remains of a Gallo-Roman villa that belonged to a noble Roman Reginus suggests the origin of the name which later became Rignyé then Regnie
Durette : l’origine du nom semble venir du celte Duéria / the name seems to come from the Celtic Duéria

Il est produit pratiquement en totalité sur les communes de Lantignié et Régnié-Durette. Les Coteaux s’échelonnent entre 200 et 800 m d’altitude et la vigne y est cultivée sur les pentes ensoleillées entre 220 et 450 m d'altitude sur une superficie de près de 400 hectares./ It is produced almost entirely on the communes of Lantignié and Regnie-Durette. Construite entre 1867 et 1895 suivant les plans de l'architecte Pierre BOSSAN qui fut concepteur également de l'église d'Ars et servit de modèle précurseur de la Basilique de Fourvière à Lyon. / Built between 1867 and 1895 following the plans of the architect Pierre Bossan who was also the designer of the Church of Ars and it served as the model precursor Fourviere Basilica in Lyon.
