Helm's Deep
About:
The Battle of the Hornburg is a fictional battle in J. R. R.
Tolkien's novel The Lord of the Rings. The battle pitted the forces
of the Wizard Saruman against the Rohirrim under King Théoden, who
had taken refuge in the mountain fortress of the Hornburg at
Helm's Deep. The engagement is also informally known as Battle
of Helm's Deep or simply Helm's Deep after that location.

U shaped quarry like formation in middle of the forrest of
Kokonniemi made me think first this Helms deep from Lord of the
rings. I'm not sure of origins of this formation, but i will surely
tell that if we know it. I could gueass it has something to do wit
the world wars as there is one old air defence base on top of the
Kokonmäki. Cache is at location that is quite easily reachable
place but beware of slippery rock surface and if looking on wrong
places some broken class is seen. Cache is about 1 litre. Please close the cache carefully!

Ämyrilinnan taistelu (englanniksi Battle of the Hornburg, toisella
nimellä Helmin Syvänteen taistelu) on kuvitteellinen taistelu, joka
käytiin J. R. R. Tolkienin kirjoittaman fantasiakirjan Taru
sormusten herrasta toisessa osassa. Sarumanin joukkojen ja
linnoitukseen suojautuneen Theodenin Rohirrimin (Rohanin
ratsastajien) välillä.

Paikasta tuli mieleen tuo Ämyrinlinnan taistelu ja itse
ämyrinlinna. "Pikkukokonmäellä" sijaitsevan U mallisen jyrkänteen
alkuperää voi olla vaikka jonkin
sodanaikaisen bunkkerin jäänteet. Kokonmäen huipulta voit kuitenkin oikeastikin löytää
sodanaikaisen ilmatorjuntabunkkerin jäänteet. Kätkö on paikassa,
jonne pääsee suhteellisen helposti. Varo kuitenkin liukastumasta kalliolla ja alueella on myös lasinsirpaleita (ei tosin aivan kätköpaikalla)!
Kätkö on noin 1 litraa. Sulje purkki huolella!
