sparkyfry: If you can believe this, at the time I hid this, there were no other nanocaches in Golden Valley. I think there are plenty now, so I don't see a huge need to replace the log and keep this one going. Peace out!

Geocache Description:


I've lived near this body of water for over 30 years, and I still am not sure how it's supposed to be spelled or pronounced. This organization, which would seem to be authoritative, seems to believe it's "Bassett Creek." Yet the background image clearly suggests that some in Golden Valley view the proper spelling as "Basset Creek." Complicating things still further, they seem to call it "Bassett's Creek" in Minneapolis. And then there's the pronunciation. The more recent arrivals to the area tend to say KREEK, yet the old-timers tend to say CRICK.

However you pronounce or spell it, enjoy the cache! Stealth may be required.
