Geocache Description:


I finally got this one placed! This will take you for a nice walk in the Sonoran Desert and give you great views of the amazing area five miles from our home. Stop, stay a while, and enjoy. The hotel is sparsely populated and there isn't anything for a FTF, but the views are worth the trip.

You can drive out to the general area if you have an SUV. The dirt road begins right near the eastern end of Jomax. Of course one can park there and walk. I gave it a 2.5 for terrain, although the hike or drive isn't bad, you just have to watch where you're going. Once in the vicinity, it's an easy find.

As always when in the desert take precautions. Carry water and look out for snakes and scorpions. Wildlife abounds out here, and while it may be hot in the summer, the desert has a special beauty for those willing to look around.
