Sidetracked - Hilsea Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

son of the widow: The cache has yet again, jumped on to a train and disappeared in to the rail network, never to be seen again.
This being the case, I'm sending this cache to the archive as I've lost the will to keep replacing the cache when someone can't simply put it back where they found it.
Many thanks for looking over the years.

Geocache Description:

Tweezers are essential.

A series of C and D which I love. "Side tracked" is country wide and I love the thought of .... train station equals cache

NOTE WELL. TWEEZERS OR SIMILAR ARE ESSENTIAL. Please also bring a pen.

The area around the cache site is flat and easily accessible for both wheelchairs and pushchairs.

This station was involved in the "war" between various train companies in the 1800's through to the early 1900's and later came to serve the gas works which were nearby and Portsmouth Airport which operated from 1932 to 1977.
Prior to the road bridge being built there was a level crossing at this point and the road, now called Norway Road was called Rat Lane .

The entire area has now been redeveloped to housing and industry and there are many caches in the immediate area

Please note:

To get your smiley, it is as important to log your find physically by signing the log book as it is to create your digital log.

In the physical log, it is acceptable to use your user name, team name, stamp, or sticker which includes your user name. If you digitally log a geocache without meeting these requirements (also known as couch logging), your log can be deleted by either the geocache owner or Geocaching HQ without notice.

Unfortunately, No signature(or other evidence of finding) on the log book will result in your "Found it" entry being deleted.
