Geocache Description:

Just up ahead is one of my favorite refuges in the state, the Modoc National Wildlife Refuge. The waterfowl hunting is great; if you’re not a hunter, the wildlife viewing is equally as great. Just take the next right up ahead and drive the loop; It will take you right back into Alturas. While you can see some of the wildlife as you drive by on HWY 395, this short jaunt off the HWY will give you an excellent chance to stop along the way and enjoy the wildlife at your leisure. This is more than a cache; it’s a chance to create some great memories while taking just a few extra minutes to drive this loop. Bring your camera! Enjoy the wildlife, and enjoy the cache!
