Discover the "Château de Charance" and his domain, a nice view to Gap and surroundings.

Le Château de Charance est le siège du Parc National des Ecrins ainsi que du Conservatoire Botanique Alpin. Vous pourrez visiter le jardin en terrasse, composé de plantes issues des collections du conservatoire botanique.

Vous pouvez vous rendre au Château à partir du centre-ville à pieds, il existe de nombreux chemins de petite randonnée balisés en jaune. Le départ se fait à côté du collège/lycée Saint Joseph (WP3).

Pour trouver la cache, vous devrez chercher le botaniste du XVIII^e siècle qui rassembla dans un herbier les plantes des environs de Gap et du Champsaur. Son travail fut d'un grande richesse. Soit ABCD son année de naissance et EFGH l'année de naissance de son ami (botaniste et médecin) aussi très connu dans la région.

The "Château de Charance" used to be the bishop's summer residence until 1789 (french revolution). Now it is the "Parc National des Ecrins" and "Conservatoire Botanique Alpin" headquarter. You can visit the bocanical garden, which is made up of plants coming from conservatoire botanique's collection.

You can reach the "Château" from town centre by walking, follow the yellow waymarked trail. The stard is next to the "collège/lycée Saint Joseph" (WP3).

To find the cache, you have to write down the botanist's name (XVIII^th century) who gathered in a herbarium, plants from Gap surrounding and Champsaur. He made a weighty work.
ABCD is his birth year and EFGH is the birth year of his friend (botanist and doctor) very well known in the region.
